Only tracks verified on Apple Music are added — no wrong versions or guesses. If a few aren't available in your region, the playlist simply skips them and tells you ("18 of 20 added").

Open the unlock window above and click Lost your key? Email me a link, then enter the email address you bought with. We send a link that unlocks this browser straight away, with no key to type. Check your spam or junk folder, because the first email from our address often lands there. Mark it as not spam and add [email protected] to your contacts. The link lasts 30 minutes and only unlocks the pass bought with that address. Prefer the key itself? Reply to that email and we will send it. Clearing your browser history wipes the stored key, which is the usual reason people need this: it costs you no pass time and no device slot.

Turn on Sync Library in the Apple Music app. Playlist Genie builds the playlist in your iCloud Music Library, and the desktop app only shows those playlists when Sync Library is on. On a Mac: Music, then Settings, then General, then tick Sync Library. Two things worth knowing: the setting is remembered per Apple ID on each device, so signing in with a different Apple ID switches it off again, and the playlist lands in whichever Apple ID you signed into in the browser. If you only use Apple Music in a browser, this does not affect you.

Four steps, and only the first time on each browser. 1. Paste your licence key into the unlock window and press Unlock. 2. A window opens on Apple's own site: sign in with the Apple ID that has your Apple Music subscription. 3. Apple asks whether you allow DJ Toolbox Pro to add music to your library. Say Allow. We never see your Apple password, because that window is Apple's, not ours. 4. The window closes, the playlist is built, and you get a link to open it. After that this browser stays connected, so later sets go straight through without signing in again. The sign-in happens in the browser, so being signed into the Apple Music desktop app does not count, and each browser you use needs its own one-off sign-in. Why Apple asks twice: that sign-in only gives us permission to add the playlist to your library, it does not sign you in to Apple Music itself, so when you open the playlist to play it Apple asks again. Once for permission, once to listen. That is Apple's design and we cannot merge the two. Apple may also ask Trust this browser?. On your own laptop choose Trust to stop the verification codes; on a venue or borrowed machine choose Not Now. Once the playlist is in your library you can play it in the browser, or in the Apple Music app if Sync Library is on.

That's how Apple accepts them. Each playlist is built in your library one at a time, and the Genie moves to the next one automatically as soon as the previous one lands — you'll see the whole line-up above the window ticking itself off. Just leave the window open and wait until the last one finishes. Closing the tab mid-run stops the remaining exports; anything already built stays safely in your library.
