Privacy Policy

Your music never leaves your machine โ€” we only keep the email you give us for your licence.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

The short version: DJ Toolbox Pro runs entirely on your computer. Your music files are never uploaded anywhere. The only personal data we hold is the email address you give us to register a trial or receive a licence key.

Who we are (data controller)

DJ Toolbox Pro is made by The DJ Toolbox Pro Team, which is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

Playlist Genie & Apple Music

Playlist Genie (our web tool at /apple-music) creates playlists inside your own Apple Music library. When you connect Apple Music you authorise it through Apple’s own secure sign-in — we never see your Apple ID or password. We use that access only to build the playlist you asked for, and we do not store your Apple Music library, your listening history, or the tracks you export. Your use of Apple Music is also governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

What we do NOT collect

How we use your email, and our lawful basis

Only to run your licence: activating your trial or subscription, sending your key and renewals, and answering support requests. Under the GDPR our lawful basis is performance of a contract (delivering and running the licence you bought or trialled) and, for support replies, our legitimate interest in helping you.

Retention: we keep your email for as long as your licence is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for our records and legal obligations (e.g. tax), then delete it โ€” or sooner if you ask.

The website

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads. The site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to:

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] โ€” we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority; in Sweden that is the IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten) at imy.se. Californian residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA, which we also honour.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
